All carbonate samples are analysed via Dual Inlet IRMS (Isoprime 100), which provides the best precision and accuracy available. Pure carbonates such as calcite, dolomite, apatite and forams can be analysed online via the multiprep. Siderites and low level carbonates are analysed via offline extraction methods and presented as a pure gas to the DI-IRMS.

All sample data is calibrated against international standards NBS18 (-5.01‰, -23.01‰ for δ¹³C and δ¹⁸O respectively), NBS19 (1.95‰, -2.20‰ for δ¹³C and δ¹⁸O respectively) and LSVEC (-46.60‰, -26.70‰ for δ¹³C and δ¹⁸O respectively) via 3 point normalisation.
